The Contracts Administrator prepares arena engagement contracts and other legal documents for domestic engagements and rehearsals. Provide research support and analysis to the department. The person best suited for this position will have at least one year of experience handling contractual documents. They will have great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and handle many projects and documents with different stages of completion.
Essential Functions
  • Oversees the preparation, review, editing, and documentation of assigned contracts, addendums, amendments, correspondence, and other legal documentation as needed. Maintain and file all documentation in the appropriate file.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze the history of contract negotiations, settlements, financial issues, and operational issues. Prepare assigned contracts based on deal points provided and oversee contract process to completion. Investigate and report possible contract issues and recommend solutions or possible courses of action.
  • Input and monitor, itinerary, contract, and venue attribute components in the engagement information system.
  • Review revisions made to standard contract language and amendments proposed by arena management, as well as arena management-generated contracts with the assigned Booking Director, Contracts Director, in-house counsel and/or Risk Management to ensure contact compliance while offering own solutions.
  • Gather data, monitor, and update the necessary reports to track contract status from initiation to final distribution. Keeps accurate records of specific changes to contract language and handles special projects which aid in the contracting process.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED. Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or tech school preferred.
  • 1 year experience handling contractual documents
  • Ability to operate a personal computer in a LAN environment using software packages including spreadsheet and databases in Microsoft Excel, Word, and proprietary software
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents
  • Attention to detail, ability to work within deadlines, and handle multiple contractual documents and projects accurately (all of which are in different stages of completion)
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with individuals inside and outside of the company
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment
