Develop, direct and manage all corporate insurance and risk management programs, and act as primary liaison with all related brokers, underwriters and other vendors.  Develop, maintain, and communicate the Company's overall risk management strategy working closely with the senior management team and other key personnel, and proactively monitor business activities on an ongoing basis for changes that could impact insured exposures, related strategies and associated costs of the program.

Essential Job Functions
  • Research, evaluate and make recommendations regarding risk management, loss control and claims management strategies by evaluating and analyzing causes of loss, patterns or trends that could result in exposure to financial loss.
  • Report, direct, monitor and evaluate claims for desired outcomes; evaluate data and maintain records for incident reporting; produce monthly reports as requested; and issue insurance certificates, whether internally and/or through the use of insurance broker(s).
  • Manage department budget and financial transactions related to insurance and large deductible programs; prepare accrual and department allocations for insurance expenses; negotiate service contracts and manage external relationships; review insurance policy terms and conditions for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate replacement cost values on corporate property assets, inventories and  show equipment for insurance purposes.
  • Ensure that the Company has proper insurance policies and coverage limits in place to protect against possible and unforesseen claim exposures.
  • Work effectively with peers across the Company to provide thought leadership, evaluate exposures and achieve the maximum possible contribution towards its goals and objectives.
  • Monitor total insurance costs to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies on an ongoing basis.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business or Finance.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the management of a comprehensive global risk management program.  Entertainment industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance and loss control theories and investigations.
  • Familiarity with global/international insurance brokerage and insurance markets.
  • Demonstrated previous experience examining/analyzing operations and operating procedures, and developing and communicating risk management strategies, policies and procedures designed to minimize or mitigate risk in the most cost effective manner possible.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with solid oral and written communication abilities are a must.
