International Counsel
Vienna, Virginia | Full Time Legal — Legal AffairsPosition is available for a hybrid work model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office after a 6 week introductory schedule.
Essential Functions
- Drafting and negotiation of international contracts and compliance matters.
- Provide personnel and contractor training and updates and ensure compliance with FCPA.
- Ensure foreign subsidiaries are in good standing and compliance with all local regulations, etc.; assist real estate department with leasing of international offices.
- Assist Feld Consumer Products and Logistics with foreign import/export matters of show equipment and merchandise.
- Interface with other relevant corporate departments for tax, transportation, customs, finance/banking, etc. for purposes of supporting international business operations and tours.
- Assist Chief Privacy Officer, Chief Information Officer and other in-house departments with GDPR and other related foreign privacy issues.
- Assist in-house departments with international licensing, trademark, music rights and other related matters.
- Monitor policy, legislative and regulatory developments in legal areas affecting international business operations.
- Conduct internal Company audits to determine compliance with U.S. export, sanctions and import laws.
- Juris doctorate; college degree.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience.
- Registration with VA bar as corporate counsel or VA bar membership.
- Ability to evaluate and analyze issues (often on a rapid basis) in order to make timely recommendations for business decisions and willingness to learn new areas and switch from one topic to another in a nimble, professional manner.
- Exceptional analytic, organizational, writing and oral business communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and assist effortlessly with all levels of the organization.
