The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for both warehouse and
event-based needs. Warehouse support duties will include order entry and communication to enable successful
creation and processing of internal business orders, coordination of product re-work orders, and maintenance of
supply inventory and daily access control records. Event-based support will include obtaining necessary permits for
concessions sales and administering a secret shopping program. All responsibilities must be done in a timely manner
and with the highest degree of accuracy.
Essential Functions
  • Obtain permits necessary for event-based concessions operations.
  • Administer secret shopping program used to evaluate concessions sales personnel at event.
  • Create orders for Inside Business needs as requested from internal departments, with needed follow-up communication.
  • Work with Warehouse leadership on order communication to create Workshop orders and special orders.
  • Maintain invoice and document files for Jessup vendors.
  • Maintain tracking of ordered supplies, and supply inventory including usage records.
  • Respond to building communication requests via phone, email, mail, and on-site visit
Required Qualifications
  • A High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Previous clerical/administrative experience preferred.
  • Prior use and training with Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • This is a position that will require on-site job performance in Jessup, MD, with a potential for remote work based on business needs.
  • Prior experience working in a Warehouse Management system-controlled environment is a plus.
  • Strong organization ability.
  • Time management in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
