To manage the process from concept to retail ready product including sourcing, and manufacturing. The primary goal is to manufacture and deliver safe, reliable, cost effective and quality merchandise while enforcing critical timelines.
Essential Job Functions
  • Evaluate and negotiate all quotes to determine the best source (considering lead time, method and cost-including duties, quota charges, etc.).
  • Manage and approve the manufacturing process (i.e. pre-production samples and production samples) while enforcing critical time lines.
  • Coordinate with the Shipping Department for timely shipment of all finished products.
  • Consult with Product Development on new concepts for product and instruct them on necessary design modifications.
  • Work with Quality Assurance group to ensure products pass appropriate safety testing when required.
  • Manage item databases for accuracy and updating when needed.
  • Manage the Domestic Purchasing group including, coaching, counseling, and training. 
Job Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Three to 5 years’ experience in sourcing/manufacturing.
  • Excellent follow-up, managing priorities, and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Must have good negotiating skills as well as excellent customer service.  Strong math and computer skills are critical. 
  • Advanced to Expert level skills with MS Excel.  Experience creating reports and data extracts from databases using Excel. Must be proficient with pivot tables.
